- Email address
- Name
- Company name
- job title
- Usage Data
Usage data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.
All the above information is collected automatically, due to the way the world wide web works. The legal basis for the initial collection of this data is the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), according to which technical storage or access is permitted, when the sole purpose is to carry out the transmission of a communication through an electronic communications network or when it is necessary for the provision of an information society service, which has been explicitly requested by the user. The legal basis for retaining your information is our legitimate interest in the proper and secure operation of our website and in understanding how it is used, through the statistics described below. You have the right to object to the retention of your information on grounds related to your particular situation, if your rights and freedoms override our legitimate interests or the necessity of collecting the data for the establishment, exercise or support of our legal claims. For how to exercise this right, see below under “rights”.
Tracking technologies and cookies
We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service. The technologies We use may include:
Cookies or Browser Cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on Your Device.
Web Beacons. Certain sections of our Service and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of a certain section and verifying system and server integrity).
Analytics Script. Our Website uses a small script from Umami, open-source analytics software that We run on Our own servers, to count visits and produce statistics about how the Website is used (for example, recording the popularity of a certain page). The script does not place Cookies on Your Device and does not track You across other websites. It sends Us Usage Data such as the page visited, the referring website, Your browser, operating system, Device type, screen size and language, and Your approximate location (country, region and city), which is derived from Your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored. To count unique visitors, Your IP address and browser details are combined into a code that cannot be reversed and that changes every day. We use this information solely for statistical purposes.
Cookies can be “Persistent” or “Session” Cookies. Persistent Cookies remain on Your personal computer or mobile device when You go offline, while Session Cookies are deleted as soon as You close Your web browser. You can learn more about cookies on TermsFeed website article.
Our Website, rethinkculture.co, does not use Cookies.
Our dashboard, dashboard.rethinkculture.co, uses only the Cookies it needs to work. A sign-in Cookie (Persistent, lasting up to 30 days, administered by Us) keeps You signed in and helps prevent fraudulent use of Your Account. A security Cookie (Persistent, administered by Us) protects the dashboard’s forms against misuse by other websites.
These Cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service You have asked for, so We do not ask for Your consent to use them. You can set Your browser to refuse all Cookies, but You will then be unable to sign in to the dashboard.
03If you take part in a survey
If Your employer uses Rethink Culture to survey its workplace, Your employer decides to run the survey and is responsible for the survey data as controller. We process that data on Your employer’s behalf, on its instructions and under a written agreement with it.
Your employer gives Us Your work email address so that We can send You the survey, and may also give Us details about Your role, such as Your team, location, job level, length of service or age group. We do not ask Your employer for Your name. When You take part, We receive Your answers and any comments You write, together with Usage Data such as the device You use and how long the survey took.
We use this information to send You the survey and reminders, to check the quality of the responses and to produce results for Your employer. Your employer relies on its legitimate interest in understanding and improving its workplace culture.
Your employer receives only combined results for groups of at least five people, never Your individual answers. Written comments are shared with Your employer word for word but without Your name, so please do not include anything in them that could identify You.
We also combine answers from all the organisations that use Rethink Culture into average scores, so that each organisation can compare itself with others. These averages never show anyone’s individual answers or name any organisation. We do this as controller, on the basis of Our legitimate interest in providing meaningful comparisons.
Taking part is voluntary, and You may leave any question unanswered. If You have questions about a survey, You can contact Your employer or Us.
04Use of your personal data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

For our legitimate interest to provide You with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless You have opted not to receive such information.

For business transfers: We may share or transfer Your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another company.
With Affiliates: We may share Your information with Our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include Our parent company and any other subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that We control or that are under common control with Us. In such a case you will be informed in advance, so that you can express your objection.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for our legitimate interest to perform internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods. Usage Data collected for website statistics is deleted after 25 months.
For survey data, We keep participants’ contact details only for as long as needed to run the survey. We keep survey answers while the employer is Our client, so that it can compare one survey with the next, and for a limited period afterwards. After that, We delete them or keep them only as aggregated results that do not identify anyone.
06Transfer of your personal data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.
We are based in the United Kingdom, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data. Some of Our Service Providers are located outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where such a country does not have an adequacy decision, We transfer personal data only with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. As a rule, your request will be complied with within one month of receipt or, if it is particularly complex, you will be informed accordingly at least within one month of the delay that may be caused by the complexity of the request.
